Technology Transfer
Cti has been involved in a number of Technology Transfer projects. These include:
E-Valve - E-Manufacturing in the Valve Supply Chain
This DTI funded technology Transfer project was part of the ICT Carrier programme, managed by Optimat. The aim of the project was to transfer established advanced design and manufacturing technologies, such as 3D modelling and finite element analysis, from the automotive and aerospace industries into the valve casting supply chain.
Joining Forces
This technology transfer programme, the first in the region for TWI, provides technical support in welding and joining to manufacturing engineering companies in Yorkshire and Humber. The programme aims to boost growth, competitiveness and innovation by offering a range of support activities from online expertise through product & process reviews, to prototyping support. Castings Technology International is a programme partner in the Joining Forces programme. To find out more about the Joining Forces Yorkshire and Humber programme, visit the TWI Website, select 'UK Regional projects' from the right hand side, and then 'Yorkshire and Humber'.
