Process Improvement - Programmed Visit Service
Cti offer a confidential advisory service for Members Worldwide, aimed at improving manufacturing efficiency and casting quality.
What is a Programmed Visit Service?
This service to Members involves regular visits to a company by an experienced member of staff to assist in the improvement of productivity, quality, and ultimately, profitability. An important supplementary benefit is derived because regular visits ensure that improvements are maintained.
Programmed visits are particularly useful to castings producers who have limited technical back-up or whose staff are heavily committed and thus unable to stand back from their everyday problems. By investing in programmed visits, they access the entire organisation through the staff member involved.
How does the Programmed Visit Service Operate?
The Member company enters into an arrangement with Castings Technology International, covering an agreed period of time. The length of each visit and the interval between visits is a matter for agreement and is structured to provide continuity of support. A highly experienced member of staff is always used, who can be temporarily changed when appropriate to meet a specialised need.
Examples of successful programmed visits range from a UK valve producer enjoying continuity of technical suppor1 for one day per week over a five year period, through to an overseas heavy casting producer receiving a week long visit every three months for one year, to install and monitor the progress of a new quality system.
Who Benefits?
The Member, and ultimately the customer, benefits through Castings Technology International's support infrastructure. This is enhanced by the development of a close working relationship and a continuing and detailed knowledge of the Member's production requirements and problems.
