The Casting Skills Centre Training Calendar

In-Company Courses

All courses can be delivered in-company

The pricing structure is based on a total 'Event' cost + a small cost per person for the individual training books. This has several advantages, the first being that the 'Event' cost covers the mentor/instructor costs, expenses, etc... for the day - irrespective of how many attend. The additional cost per person covers the individual training material and administration. This allows companies the flexibility to train as many or as few staff as they like with the minimum of cost variation.

In-Company Casting Processes and Techniques
Some of this course content was normally run at Cti Sheffield - primarily because it includes site tours to show and explain the various casting processes. In order to provide this course in-company, some of the processes would have to be viewed via video clips instead of demonstrated. However, the rich content of the course makes this an ideal introduction to the industry.

In-Company Casting Design
This is by far the most successful in-company course we run, and quite often its usefulness is underestimated. Many companies believed it to be only relevant for designers and found it so useful, they re-ran the course for other departments such as Quality and Sales (even Managers and Directors have benefited).

Other Training Courses

We also provide these courses on request:
(subject to suitable numbers of attendees and availability of Lecturer/Instructors)

  • Metallurgy of Grey and Ductile Irons or Aluminium
  • Identification and Prevention of Casting Defects
